About Impact Hub

Impact Hub is a network of over 66 co-working spaces across the world, home to over 11,000 members.

Impact Hub offer its members a co-working space and a unique ecosystem of resources, inspiration, and collaboration opportunities to grow impact.

What they needed:

In April 2014 Impact Hub opened its first South London Hub (Hub Brixton) and needed a local organisation to help launch with a bang! They needed a creative programme of events that would both support the business users of the hub to grow their ideas, but also share Hub resources with the wider Brixton/Lambeth community.

Our Solution:

  • Conducted a multiplatform outreach and marketing programme via online social media and guerrilla marketing to engage many parts of the community in a very short time – young people, businesses, MPs and councilors.

  • Project managed a number of events to raise awareness of the hub and its available resources

  • Designed and managed workshops to develop the networks and business acumen of Impact Hub members developing their own social business ideas.

What they said:

“Beyond the Classroom were one of Hub Brixton's first partners. They played a key role in building the initial community at the Hub. They project managed our launch event which was a real success and exceeded our expectations both in terms of attendance and the programme, which was fantastic!"

Amma is great to work with - she has a rare combination of skills in being very organised and pragmatic while also creative and strategic in her thinking. Amma thinks on her feet and has a "let's do it" attitude that is so important in new ventures. She's humorous, engaging and a great presenter and communicator. I would definitely recommend Beyond The Classroom if you're looking for help in community engagement, events, and more general social / community strategy and management activities."
