Yesterday, I was surrounded by pure excellence at the Black British Business awards as a finalist in the Rising Star Entrepreneur category. I lost out to a 35 year old man (Martin Ijah) who has received over £100 million in investments for his company, a truly worthy winner! Not quite sure how I ended up on the same shortlist as him, so let's just say it was an honour to have been a finalist!
It truly does mean SOOO MUCH for Beyond the Classroom to have been recognised for the impactful work we do with young people across London, on such a prestigious platform. It was also amazing to network with so many successful professionals, so willing to invest time, energy and resource into BTC!
The work we do here is really really really really... really challenging and it means everything to have such a strong, growing business family holding us up and championing us at every given opportunity. It is times like this that help me to persevere and push past the resistance, of which there is plenty!
A special thanks to the team at the BBBA's and all the brilliant people and organisations who continue to support us, invest in us and champion us at every level!
